SIPGATE young talent stage

Sipgate presents the Open Source Festival Young Talent Stage.

A Cardinal Sessions Showcase.

The Open Source Festival is a one-day music Festival that takes place on a horse race track once a year. It’s a wonderful event with brillant bands – in the past years, there were acts like Hot Chip, Death Cab For Cutie, Get Well Soon, Bilderbuch and Metronomy. This year, they asked Cardinal Sessions to shoot a little introduction for their smallest stage, the sipgate Young Talent Stage. Sipgate, a telecommunications company, invited us to their headquarter to record full-band-sessions of the acts who play this particular stage. One song they wrote, one Cover song and a short interview. We also decided to showcase two bands who played there in the years before; Bergfilm and Suzan Köcher.

The stage is curated by some musical journalists and musicians, and bands from the area can apply. More then 100 bands tried, here’s to the winners: Carpet Waves, Sue Lèwig, Frogcodile, Orange Swan and Jesusus.

The Festival itself takes place on July 14th.

Tickets still available right here:
